Clean Gutters Avoid Major Home Repairs

Clean and properly installed gutters are the single most important key to avoiding major and expensive home repairs. Gutters perform one duty: controlling the water around your home. If debris are keeping them from doing their job or your existing gutters are improperly installed or the incorrect size for your home or building then you can wind up with some serious problems. Listed next is a few of them. A leaky basement or a cracked foundation: water overflowing from your gutters will gather and lay around your basement and foundation eventually causing it to crack and leak. Dangerous Driveways and walkways: During the cold weather months water going onto the driveway from either clogged gutters or gutters that are not draining into a proper location can lead to icy and very dangerous driveways. The driveway will also age due to the water not being directed correctly and will cause sagging and cracking. The same can happen with your walkways and to any entry ways as well. Wood rotting is another casualty of incorrectly installed or clogged gutters. Water can back up from the gutters and lay against the fascia and will start rotting quickly and spread even faster. How about your landscaping you don't want your investment in your landscaping around the house to be washed out. Remember properly installed gutters and well maintained gutters can save you money,time and aggravation. Protect your investment.
